What is meant by a "Secured Session"?
A:
Secure sessions are established when you login to the
THK Vendor Information Network. For Suppliers, your data is secured and it
cannot be accessed without a valid User ID and password. All THK Internal users
will access secured data only after a successful login to the system. An
additional layer of encryption called Secure Sockets Layer exists for Suppliers
and for those THK Internal users accessing the site from the Internet. This
layer of security is added when the user logs in, as well.
Why do I need an ID and password?
A:
The Vendor Information Network requires the use of an
ID and password as an additional security measure which helps protect your
information and data. The unique ID and password lets VIN verify that you are
an authorized user, thereby allowing you access, and help preventing
unauthorized access. This ensures you of a secured session.
