When do I enter into a "Secured Session"?
Secure sessions are established when you login to the THK Vendor Information Network. For Suppliers, your data is secured and it cannot be accessed without a valid User ID and password. All THK Internal users will access secured data only after a successful login to the system. An additional layer of encryption called Secure Sockets Layer exists for Suppliers and for those THK Internal users accessing the site from the Internet. This layer of security is added when the user logs in, as well.
Why do I need an ID and password?
The Vendor Information Network requires the use of an ID and password as an additional security measure which helps protect your information and data. The unique ID and password lets VIN verify that you are an authorized user, thereby allowing you access, and help preventing unauthorized access.
What should I do if I am using a "public" computer?
If you use a shared computer and are uncomfortable with other's ability to view "cached" pages after you have left the station, then please quit/exit your browser software before leaving. This will decrease the possibility of anyone viewing confidential information. No other users will be able to access your data online without your User-ID and password.
What do I do if I have forgotten my ID and/or password?
You can reset or change your password using the "Forgot Password" option. In case you have forgotten your ID, then if you are in the category of Suppliers - please contact your Commodity Manager and for North American Internal THK users - please contact the Livonia Helpdesk.
What type of browser do I need?
It is required that you use either Internet Explorer 6.x or above. Internet Explorer is recommended as this site has been optimized for it.
  What does URL mean?
URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator. It is a colloquial word which means "Web address".
What if I do not agree with the THK Web Site Rules and Regulations, can I still access the site?
There is no way that we can keep a user from accessing this site if he/she does not accept the site's rules and regulations. By entering your user id and password and clicking on the log in button you are agreeing to the laid rules regulations. If you do not agree to the rules and regulations it is recommended that you do not access this site.
